Hadith:
Abu Umaamah al-Baahiliyy, may Allah be pleased with
him, said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s
peace and blessings be upon him, saying: ‘Recite the
Qur'an, because it will come as an intercessor on the
Day of Judgement for its reciters. Recite the two
illuminating ones, Surat-ul-Baqarah and Surat Aal
'Imraan, because they will come as two clouds, two
shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks defending their
reciters on the Day of Resurrection. Recite Surat-ul-
Baqarah, because reading it is a blessing, abandoning
it is a (cause of) regret, and the sorcerers cannot handle
it
